Academic Calendar

Fall Semester: Begins on August 21st and concludes in December.

Spring Semester: Begins on January 15th concludes in May. 

Learning Commitment

Students must log in to virtual classrooms at least four days a week to stay on track with coursework and maximize learning opportunities.

Seat Time Requirement

Students must accumulate 1K minutes of instruction weekly to ensure a rich and rigorous education for academic success.

Graduation Requirements.

In order to receive a high school diploma from Subject Virtual School, students must meet all state graduation requirements as well as additional courses required by Subject to ensure college preparedness. At minimum, one quarter (25%) of credits must be earned through Subject's online curriculum. The specific graduation course requirements are:

3 years of math, including Algebra I

Science

2 years of science, including biology and a lab-based physical science

World Language

2 years of world language, for the purpose of satisfying the minimum course requirement, a course in American Sign Language shall be deemed a course in world language

Social Science

3 years of social science, including U.S. history and geography; world history, culture, and geography; 1 semester of American government; and 1 semester of economics

Physical Education & Health

2 years of physical education and/or health

1 year of a visual and performing arts course
